New single out now!

19 November 2021
We are delighted to release a family favourite - Fuigfidh Mise an Baile Seo. Brian learned this Irish Gaelic song from his father Aidan O'Hara and we often sing it at family get-togethers. Find out more on our Bandcamp page.

The Ulster song Fuigfidh Mise an Baile Seo is about a woman who has made a bad match. She married young for money and her older husband is a miser who won’t even let her out to Mass on feast days, let alone take her to the ale-house for a drink. She says it’s a pity that people who are dissatisfied in marriage can’t go to the fair and trade partners the way they can sheep and cattle. Indeed!

The beautiful artwork is by artist Rachael Forbes.
